<p>No, its not a stupid question because sometimes the finaid app is also required for merit aid. Unfortunately, I don't know the answer in this particular case - I would suggest asking this question of the financial aid department directly.</p>

<p>techincally it shouldn't be. you are not applying for aid, so why fill a "Financial Aid Application"?</p>
