Stupid question

I'm a senior next year and I'm probably majoring in business (fina). columbia is one of my top choices, so I was wondering if they have a business program? I'll probably pick columbia (if i get in) over nyu.

They don't.

only 2 ivy-league schools offer undergrad business.

Cornell + UPenn (wharton)

Undergrad'ing business is frankly kinda dumb because most businesses train you themselves anyway. I talked to an I-Banker @ Goldman Saks and he said literally the time it took for Columbia Humanity majors to catch up knowledge wise with Stern business majors is a period of 3 months during the training period.

In general, businesses would rather have people they know can think broadly about a whole range of issues than specifically just a business major.

With that said, of course Wharton + Stern are just as good as any humanity majors at most ivy leagues (possibly xcluding harvard + yale + pton) if you want to go into business

Everything that truazn says is on the money.

thx for the reply
