Stupid Short Reponse Question

<p>In the year 2050, a movie is being made of your life. Please tell us the name of your movie and briefly summarize the story line.</p>

<p>Is it just me or is the the dumbest question there ever was. NYU has hundreds of thousands of alumni, and I guarantee you not 100 of them have a life that is worth making a movie out of. What do you guys think, are they looking for a serious response or some kind of outrageous satire?</p>

<p>What if I just want to live a normal life and have a normal family?</p>

<p>They just want to get to know you as a person rather than an applicant. I’m sure other colleges have weirder short essay questions. Just have fun with it and don’t overthink it.</p>

<p>I actually respected their app a ton. I liked that they didn’t give the same old “what makes you an asset to our school” question, or something about diversity blah blah blah. I liked that they tried to ask somewhat uncomfortable questions - well done, NYU</p>
