@picats3141 do you think it was harder than last year’s first round that they put online? Also, do you know if you qualify if you made at least 50% on the test or if you’re in the top 50% of participants?

@coffeeaddicted It was different, I’ll say that. I have no idea about the 50% thing; most sources seem to have said top 50%, including on the website and the test form itself, but I also got an email saying 17/34 was the cutoff. So I guess we’ll just have to wait and see
It was hard… that’s all I can say.
There were few problems that I wasn’t able to do on last year’s test, but this test was a lot harder.

Anyone know when results come out? Last year it was over a month after, but this year they said it would be soon after, and they already have an established cutoff so it seems like it shouldn’t be that long.

I hope they ask more physics questions this time around because it’s so hard to remember all the Messier and other deep sky objects…
