<p>definitely not. become a recruited athlete soon. someone at my school got into harvard last year with a 3.88 weighted gpa and a 1080 old sat.</p>
<p>Well...you might want to actually SAY what makes you a One-of-a-kinda applicant? There have been cases of people getting 1350 or so on the old SAT's and making it in, but they were really passionate and had great committments outside of academics or something like that. The "hook".</p>

<p>I'm not bitter. <em>puzzled</em> Why would I be? I'm just saying that nobody's guaranteed into HYPMS even with high stats and great EC's/leadership or low stats and great EC's/leadership. It just seems that there is no such thing as "one of a kind" applicant anywhere. Being published is getting common, working on science projects, etc...</p>
