Sub-par GPA but good SAT?

<p>My unweighted GPA is about 3.0 and my weighted is about 3.8 but my SAT was 2140. Is that good enough for a decent college like NYU or BU or is my GPA too low? I could also retake the SAT for a higher score if that would help my chances</p>

<p>3.5 GPA and 2340 got me into CMU, Hopkins, and the Honors College at UMD. 3.2 GPA and 2100 SAT got my brother into the Smith School of Business at UMD. Just keep working hard in the coming semester and I think you’ll do fine.</p>
