Subforum for Popular Urban Colleges?

It would be nice if the moderators on this board created a separate subforum for popular urban colleges (similar to the ivy league and LAC forums). The schools in the forum could include:

NYU (gets over 30,000 applications)
Boston U (gets over 28,000 applications)
Northeastern (gets over 24,000 applications)
Fordham (gets over 10,000 applications)
George Washington (gets over 20,000 applications).

Other popular urban colleges:

PITT
American
USC
UCLA
RIT

Anyone agree?

The new CC "top universities" and "top CC LAC's" are based on the schools that garner the most posts.

I don't see any point to having a separate "urban" section, especially since there are already some Urban schools on the "CC Top" list - Georgetown, Johns Hopkins, UCLA, Northwestern, U of Chicago. What would be next a "Rural Schools" list?

All of the schools on your list already have their own forum and thanks to the new system, it's easier to find them and post on them. I just don't see the point of a separate section based on location.

I agree with carolyn. Most popular urban colleges already have their own forum.

While I share the concern of too many separate forums, I would like to comment on carolyn's post that the two forums she mentions are based on the schools that garner the most posts. This is not totally true. There were several schools on the old forum in the alphabetical list which had many more posts than some listed in the 'top universities' list now so it's not just those which had the largest amount of interest by posts. Some which come to mind are Tufts, Tulane, BU, USC, and lastly NYU which itself had more posts than 14 of the schools listed on the top 25 list.
