How many different areas are you thinking about taking courses in your first semester? I’m thinking about only 2…

only 2? most likely 4 for me

Well, I figure I pretty much know what I want to do...and although I feel guilty about not "expanding" more, if I wanted to take a bunch of courses in different areas, I would have applied to somewhere with a nice core. Might as well take advantage of the open curriculum.

it also depends on what you mean by subject area. Do you mean department, or do you mean something broader like humanities vs. natural sciences.

Right now I think 3 of my classes will be requirements for my major, but they will be in 3 diff depts.

i honestly have not decided. i know what i want to explore, what i want to study, etc. but it would help once i get the course info. i know people are saying mid-june. did anyone else get the CAP and course booklet stuff?

i didnt smile, i was a waitlist admit, weren't you one also? My friend who was a regular admit got it a few weeks ago though.

i got my stuff around the first of june. If youre from the waitlist, id give them a few more weeks.

yups... i was admitted off the waitlist and still waiting. still haven't received any information regarding courses or CAP stuff.

when is the deadline for signing up for the CAP course and first-year seminar online online?

what is the website that lists the CAP and first-year seminar choices?

thanks!

Has anyone received their brown.edu email ID's? Any idea when we're getting them by?

We're supposed to get email in July sometime.

Just do a search on the brown website for CAP courses. We don't pick fsems yet. The deadline for CAPs is June 29.

The website for the CAP courses is www.brown.edu/advising
