Subject Test Advice

I want to take 3 SAT Subject Tests so that all of the colleges I’m interested in that require 2 tests can just pick my two highest scores, Spanish w/ Listening being the main bread winner. ( I got a 4 on the AP Language exam and am taking Spanish Literature next year, so I’m expecting a high score)

The other two tests are up in the air.

Science is a def no-no because I haven’t taken science since they killed me in sophomore year (I was scheduled in Honors Chemistry, Anatomy & Physiology, and Physics). I was supposed to take AP Bio my junior year, but it was offered the same period as AP English Language, so no junior took an AP science.

The only other subject tests that are probable are US History, World History, and Math (Level 1 or 2).

I took AP US History my junior year, but since my teacher had cancer, he had to leave in January, around the time we were still in antebellum America. After his leave, we had sub after sub for 2 months, until mid-March, when we were given a 24yo new kid from college. With him we got until the Compromise of 1877. I ended up with a 3 on the AP exam, one of only 4 that passed (the top 4 in our class). Anything from 1877 to about 1980 is hazy to me, such as the World Wars, etc. I don’t really know any in-depth information within that time period.

I only got a 680 on the math portion of the SAT I. Are Math levels 1 or 2 advisable? I’m taking Calculus II next year, but if possible, I’d rather not do math, anything pre-calculus kills me.

Which brings me to World History. I only took Honors World History my freshman year, and I had a horrible teacher that later was fired, so we didn’t really cover much, the vast majority being BC history. This was never really an option until I visited the College Board’s website. I found it way easier than the US one, mostly because I’ve read several books on Europe/American Colonization and know a lot about Religious history. I took their practice tests for US & World History. I received:

11/16 US History/b
**8/10 World History

So… what other 2 Subject Tests would be the best to take? (Do Colleges prefer certain Subject Tests over others?)

Math (Level 1 or 2)
US History
World History

Thanks in advance!
KUDOS IF YOU AT LEAST READ THIS POST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd say math II and world
the curve is better for both i believe (maybe not world?)

You left out an important bit of information, namely, what you think your major might be or your area of interests lie. Regardless, Math level IIc (or a math sat II) is required by certain colleges especially for math/science majors. Many opt for Ic because the material is easier, but the curve is much harder. Math IIc can seem difficult at first but a high score is not hard to get, especially on a retake.

Take world history if you really feel strong with it. Most people take US history because they have usually taken the AP class. In any case, it is possible to self-study for the history exams.

I plan on Spanish/Lib Arts... so spanish is a must... i'm just scared of sat2 math because i only got a 680 sat i math score (it's an old score, im retaking sat1 in november, after i take the subject tests in october), i would imagine the sat2to be harder... especially if it's pre-calculus... i havent touched that since the beginning of my sophomore year...

actually, math 2c is all a matter of studying. a 680 isn't bad. you can definitely score in the 700s on math 2c if you study enough.

i actually feel like a loser now... the World History exam is only done twice a year... and i'm not taking it in december... so... i guess itll be us history/math2/spanish w listening this november....hmm... guess ill have to catch up on my 20th century history!
