Subject Test Issue...

So, when I was a Sophomore, I would always hear people talking about how the SAT Subject Test in Math was so easy to get an 800...foolish me, I did not know that they were referring to the Math II subject test. I took the Math I subject test at the end of Sophomore Year and scored a 600. Later, during my Junior year, finding out about CC, I realized people meant the Math II subject test, and I took that, and I got a 790.

I took US History, and I got a 680, but I'm sure I can get a high score in World History (I didn't really enjoy studying US History, but I was taking the course, so I figured I would be able to do well on the Subject Test). If I take the World History Subject Test and do much better, will they disregard my other scores (US History and Math I)?

Thanks,
ansar

If they require 3 subject tests, they will take your 3 highest into consideration and simply glance at your other ones. The same rule applies whether they require 2 or none at all. So while your 600 and 680 will not be factored in, they will be seen (unless you use score choice).

PS: But if you intend to major in math or a math-related field, I would suggest re-taking the Math I just so that it won’t give a negative impression.

Nah. Not a Math major.

Ok, thanks.
