So I just realized today that Yale requires you to report all scores of SAT/Subject tests or ACT.

I took the SAT Chemistry test at the end of my sophomore year with no preparation just to see how it was because I didn't think it would really matter. I ended up getting a 700 on it.

However, I still wanted to report my SAT scores because I got a 2400 on the SAT I (first try without any preparation) and 800s on Math 2 and Literature. I also got a 34 on the ACT w/ writing, but I hadn't planned on reporting that to any schools because I figured that my SAT score was better. Will this 700 on chemistry significantly hurt my SCEA application to Yale? If so, would I be better off sending in the act score instead?

Send the SAT scores. You already have 2 great Subject test scores, so the Chem one from early in HS is not going to hurt you.

My D1 got poor advice from her teachers and GC fr year and took Chem and Math1 and got 690s on both. Like you, her later scores were considerably higher. She had to send all scores because it was before Score Choice, she graduated from Y last spring.

I only got a 1950 on the first SAT I that I took, but am expecting to score much higher on the ones I just took (results will be out October 20). Will the first one hurt my chances?

I don’t think 700 is a bad score.

will a bunch of low SAT II scores hurt you? I took a bunch of SAT II’s because I figured I might as well because I paid for them, not realizing I would have to report them all… Will a ton of low scores hurt me?
