I'm just about ready to start the intensive part of my college application process for this fall, but my subject test scores are a disheartening thing to look at. I intend to apply to Cornell, Columbia, and Yale, so clearly, anything that seems inadequate to me would surely seem unfit for them as well.
I received: 650 - US History
590 - Math I (terrible curve, but still atrocious)
I would take more, but Literature seems to be the only acceptable exam.
Overall, my problem is what to do with these scores. My ACT scores are fine... it's just these two that are staining my application. Should I retake them or would exemplary extracurriculars, grades, and an acceptable ACT score suffice?

I am also a 1st generation Cuban American, if that helps.
