Subject Test Scores

I know for cornell we have to send 2 scores. Is a 760 Math 2 and 720 physics ok? I hope that these scores don't jeopardize my app. I heard from these forums that a 750+ is preferable.

They are fine. Subject test scores don’t count for much as long as you have 700+

…depending on the college & major they don’t account for much even below a 700. My D was admitted with a 640 & 590 to CHE.

i took 4, all were in the 600’s. you’ll be fine

Is that really true? If that’s the case, Cornell is a lot easier to get into then I thought. What were your SAT/ACT scores?

My D’s SAT I was a 1350 & ACT was a 31. She just finished her first semester and did fine academically.

csdad what were ure D’s ec’s because Cornell is not that easy to get into.
Did you get any aid?

It’s hard to generalize from a few specific cases. The median SAT for the enrolled class of 2015 was 1410, with Engineering and CAS scores above the university median.

D’s EC’s showed excellent leadership (captain of varsity team, class president, vice president of theatre) and excellence (numerous awards). Financial aid at Cornell is need, not merit based.
