Subject Tests and the big H

I have three good subject tests that are in the mid 700s and different areas. I had a 690 from a year ago in bio and I got two more tests in the high 600s today: 670 and 680. Is it going to hurt me to have those three mediocre scores if I have three good ones???

very worried

no (10 char)

I was accepted this year…I had 3 tests @ 690, 1 @ 740 and 1 @ 760

So you don’t need 780s on everything for admission…there are so many aspects to the application that a single lower score shouldn’t impact you, assuming everything else is strong

No, they only care about your three best scores, unless both are math.

Awesome :)

Hold on…
Why in the world did you take 6 different subject tests?

that’s a good question from xzibit. but to reanswer your question, no. your 3 mid 700’s is good.

I wouldn’t lose sleep over it. If the committee is choosing between you and another candidate, your essays and recs, not scores, will serve as a tipping point either way.

I’m also curious why you recently took two tests when you already had three good ones… but no, it won’t hurt.
