I am applying at USC as an engineering major. Submitting SAT subject tests is optional but they say they can be helpful for scholarships. I have taken the Physics (800) and the Math Level 2 (740) subject tests. A 740 is fine but is in the 58th percentile and is not exactly impressive within competetive engineering programs. Would it be best for me to only submit the perfect Physics score? Will submitting just one test raise eyebrows? Is it better to provide the college with more information even though the the math score is probably slightly sub-par?
Thanks for the input
Submit both, scores are fine. Demonstrating proficiency is key to a subject test and a 740 does that. Percentiles are not relevant (e.g., sometimes an 800 is no higher than 80th percentile)
Ok thanks @drusba
Don’t worry, an 800 on the SAT II was a 81%. I got a 44% on my Physics
