Subject Tests for Columbia

Hey fellow Columbia hopefuls,

I'm applying RD regular to Columbia College (read: not engineering) and have a question about Subject Tests. According to StudentAffairs Applications Instructions, Columbia requires 2 subject tests in addition to SAT/ACT.

I took 3 SAT subject tests my whole life; 2 were 800s but 1 (US history) was a 680. Can i just submit my two 800s, since only those are required? or must i submit ALL my scores across all dates..which would work against me

appreciate the feedback

it explicitly states on columbia’s website that you must submit all scores. given that only two scores are required, i imagine they’ll only consider your two best scores. even if they don’t, the two 800’s are great, and the 680 is definitely not bad enough to sink you by any means. so don’t worry.

Submit all of them.

Submit all of them; they will look at the first two. Problem solved. Honestly, a 680 is not even low enough to be worth considering violating Columbia’s specific directions for submitting scores. If it was a 580, I could understand the reluctance, but I’d still advise you to submit everything.
