Subject tests question

This is for alot of the colleges I am applying to, but let's take brown for example. They require 2 subject tests and I took 3. I did well on 2 and just ok on the other. Since 2 are required for admission, will they only consider the two highest?

Does anyone know?

You don’t even have to send all 3. You can use Score Choice, so you can send score reports by single TEST (not testing date) for subject tests. Just send your 2 best in!

-applying to Brown, too, but as an international student :)

The problem is that I already sent all 3. I can’t withdraw one of them, correct? So if they get all three will they consider the highest?

I think they will consider the 2 highest. It will be a little bit impact on the lower one if this is your potential major field. As long as the score consistent with your transcript, you don’t need to worry, otherwise it will have slight negative effect. Subject test does reflect your knowledge on the field.

If the low one is 700 and the other two are high 700s. should I be worried?

Also, about the major thing…my intended major is biology with an eye towards medical school. My low score was in chemistry and my high ones were math 2 and us history. Will this be bad?

Places like brown stress an exploratory undergraduate experience. With that being said, don’t they not pay much attention to the prospective major in admissions anyway? If so the score shouldnt hinder me much, right?

If this is a problem, can I withdraw that one test?

Anyone???

Hey, I chose biology as my concentration, too! I think anything that starts with “7” won’t keep you out  You’re fine, esp. because many people say chemistry is a hard test. Don’t worry about it, and there’s nothing to do now, anyway. You’ve already sent it in, so just relax.

Thanks for your help rainbow sprinkles. I guess we have alot in common as prospective brown biology people. Where are you from internationally?

Canada. Are you from the US?
Also, are you applying to PLME?

I’m from the US. Not applying to PLME. You? Where else are you applying?

I am. Also applying to JHU, Cornell, Harvard, and Dartmouth. Maybe Stanford, Y & P if I have time.
