Subject Tests Scores

I just got my scores in today and I got a 780 in Math 2 (with calculator dying by #40 -__-) and a 710 in U.S. History. Is the 710 high enough for a top-tier university like Georgetown? r should I consider retaking it?

Georgetown strongly recommends three Subject matter test. In the words of a 2011 Georgetown admissions officer, “strongly recommends” means submit three different subject matter tests. I think if you submit 2 or 3 that are in the 700s, you are in pretty good shape.

thanks for the input! (: I have 800 in Chinese and 680 in World History but i want those two lower on the list than U.S. and Math 2 xD but i am considering taking Literature in October.

As far as strongly recommended goes… I got accepted to Georgetown, and didn’t send any subject test scores. Go figure.

Subject test scores really only help. they are recommended, not required. But you are competing against top students so it would be best to have them and have strong ones. In my opinion, anything in the 700s is fine, 750+ is the best. Just make sure you are above the 85% percentile range as it would make you more competitive.

Would it be better to send in a score that is higher, but has a lower percentile, or vice versa?
