Subject Tests should be in three different subjects.

Hey everybody

<a href="http://www.princeton.edu/pr/admissions/u/appl/#testing:%5B/url%5D">http://www.princeton.edu/pr/admissions/u/appl/#testing:</a>
" (...) and three SAT Subject Tests, and have their official scores reported to Princeton by the testing agency. Subject Tests should be in three different subjects."

How bad is it if I only have two languages (French and Latin, 800 each) and one math (Level 2, 770) subject? i.e. no science = death?

My background: I'm an international student (no APs, etc.) and my science grades are about on par with my other grades and I'm positive that I'll get an awesome rec from my biology teacher. I also did microbiological research on my own at a renowned university.

The problem is that I'm going to graduate in September 2007 (I have to take a gap year) and that I will retake my SAT Reasoning Test on the October date.
If I was taking another subject test (biology and/or physics) it would have to be during my military service which would cause a lot of complications (it's not impossible though) :(.

Well, was are you majoring in? If its a science, I'd recommend taking a different one.

If French is your native language, I'd take a different one.

If neither, then you're good. French and Latin are different subjects. They just dont want people taking both Math I and Math II.

Thanks for your advice.

I want to get into WW and major in International Affairs, maybe with a certificate in Finance or something else. Definitely nothing science related.

I'm attending a German speaking school, I live in a German speaking environment and German is my native language which is spoken at home. French is just a subject I've studied in high school.

Thanks again and congrats on Princeton :).

My son did two histories for the subject II's and one science. His intended major is History. He called Princeton and they said they would not reject an applicant based upon not adhereing to their preference for 3 subject II's in 3 different subject areas. So, the fact that you have two languages, I think is fine, especially since you have two 800's.
