So far I've taken two subject tests: USH (790) and Spanish (750). I'm not applying anywhere that requires 3 tests, but I feel like I should take another one, one that's more closely related to my prospective major, Poly Sci. In the grand scheme of things, taking Spanish seems kind of random--I just happen to be good at it, so I took the test and scored fairly high. So, assuming that I can NOT score above a 750 on any other subject test (with the exception of maybe Math 1, which I wouldn't take), should I take another one? I'm thinking maybe Lit, which I could probably score high on, just judging by my SAT I CR score (800).

US History is the subject test mostly closely related to political science. You’ll be fine.

Man, just take world history and get it over with.

Colleges aren’t comparing your choice of subject tests w/what you list as a prospective major. They know that about everyone’s choice is very ephemeral.

Take a subj test that you’ll do well in and enjoy – not to give some “meat” to your appearance as a future PoliSci cranker – because it won’t. Prospective majors don’t mean much at all to most colleges.
