On Rice's application, it asks for two SAT Subject (SAT II) Tests in subjects related to proposed area of study. I plan to apply to Wiess School of Natural Science at Rice under either Chemistry or Biochemistry. Would an SAT II in Chemistry and either Math I or Math II be all right? Or do I need another science Subject Test? I'm not sure my Physics is strong enough to secure a high score, and as I haven't taken Biology in two years, that is certainly out of the question.

I don't think they follow this that much. I did mine in Writing, History, and like the lower level Math. I did apply to the college of humanities, but I really don't think they care that much about what you even put as your proposed major. I am only a freshman and I changed my major about ten times. I have settled on one for the time being, but I think they know that people will change their minds on what they want to study.

i got accepted to the school of natural sciences (planning to major in biochemistry), and i took chemistry and both math subject tests. so yeah, it would be all right.

yeah i took mine in biology and math ii, which have nothing to do with social sciences, which is the school i got accepted to. i didnt even do that well on the tests, so i guess theyre not that important.

i got accepted to the school of natural sciences and will be a biochem major. i took mine in chem and bio and got almost a perfect score on both. but i will advice u not to take bio if u havent had it for 2 years. it was definitly a harder test that chem i thought. i think it matters if your sat scores are not as good. like mine for example, i got a 2140 on my sat because the english section lowered me because its not my main language. but i did very good in the sat2
