On the website, it "requests the results of three subject tests". However, today I went to an info session, and they said that they were not required. Most students submitted two to three, though.

What should be done? I have currently taken two, should I bother with the third?
What's the story, morning glory?

3 are recommended not required. so if you're satisfied with your two scores then I would send them to JHU. I don't think you need to take a third unless you think you can ace another subject test or another school requires three tests.

I have:

Chem: 740
Math II: 800

thoughts on another? whether it's the necessity of or which to take?

SAT subject exams are not required, but the Admissions Office does recommend that all applicants submit 3 SAT subject exam scores. There is no official advantage nor disadvantage to submitting SAT II scores. It is the choice of each individual student whether they want to submit SAT II subject exam scores and how many exams they want to submit. However, we want applicants to consider our recommendations as strong recommendations, therefore submitting SAT II scores will make a difference in the application review. There is no way to predict whether submitting scores will impact the review of the application positively or negatively, as they part of the comprehensive review of an applicant's file.

In the past applicants have submitted 0, 1, 2, 3, or more SAT subject exam scores -- each applicant make their own decision on how many they want to submit. But once again, our recommendation is THREE exams.

I just feel nervous submitting two...

Your scores are fine. I submitted 3, none of which were particularly good and I got in. It's one piece of the application.

yea i submitted 3-chem, math 2, and us history...my us history score was bad...really bad...REALLY BAD!!! i got a 5 on ap us history so I though that "5" would make the sat 2 a cake walk...it didn't...

anyway, i got accepted rd to bme, so yea you'll be fine :)
