Subject tests

Quick Question:

Does anybody know how much importance CMU places on Subject Tests?

I took some earlier in the summer (June), but wasn't too happy with my scores and was wondering which ones I should retake in October.

Scores:
Math II- 660 (Definitely retaking- I'm really good at math and can't understand how I did so badly)
Chem- 640 (Considering I've been off from school all summer, don't really know if it'd be worth studying for or taking since I don't think I'd remember too much)
US History- 600 (Definitely not retaking- did terrible on AP)

So what are your opinions? I know CMU asks for Math and Science Subject Tests, but are they considered so heavily that'd it'd be worth studying and retaking a subject (Chem) that I've nearly forgotten?

Thanks for your help in advance!

I’m not quite sure how important they are. My scores were a bit scattered back when I applied.

Math IIc: 790
Chem: 800
Writing: 510

Got into CIT, but I also had a decent number of ECs and pretty good grades in high school.

Have you taken AP Chem? I took the SAT II the fall after having taken AP and hadn’t studied for the exam but still found it pretty easy.

I have good ECs and grades. 34 on ACT, 3.9 GPA (UW), etc…

Trying to get into SCS so I’m kinda worried.

No, I hadn’t taken AP yet. I only took the honors class. I’ll be taking my first AP Science (Physics C) this year, and by the time I’m done with that it’ll be too late.

thanks for your suggestion though
