I'm going to apply today, but I just wanted to know: would they not like it if i sent 3 subject tests (1 more than the required number of 2)? Thanks

I think they would use the two best of the three.

theyre all 800’s
does that make any difference?

im being serious here
would they not like it if i sent 3 instead of 2?

cornell requires ALL test scores.
you can’t pick and choose anyway…they’ll just look at your highest and since you’ve got striaght 800s, they won’t care. Also I saw your post about the ACTs…Cornell requires you to send all of them anyway.

^actually, according to the reps’ emails/friends who applied/other CCers, you are allowed to score choice your subject tests…just have to meet the requirements (i.e. math & physics for COE)

Many students take more than 2 subject tests, especially those who apply to schools like Harvard that require 3. There is nothing wrong with sending more than 2 to Cornell, especially if they’re all 800.

i saw on the cornell website that they do not participate in college board’s score choice. does that also apply for act scores?

how would they know if i did or didnt send all my scores? would they penalize me if theyre able to?

from what i remember… although the policy could have changed from 2 years ago, when i sent in my SAT scores, ALL of my SAT scores (SAT I + II) were sent in so they saw every SAT II score i had.

I’m not sure whether they use “score choice” for the act…i know for a fact that they don’t ccalculate a new super composite score using all your highest subscores. Whether or not they ONLY consider the highest scores, I can’t say. They do require ALL scores though, and nobody knows for sure whether they can find out whether you did or not. I’d advise you to send them all because if they do figure out that you didn’t, you basically fail their ethics/integrity test and it may (or may not) work against you when they are admitting applicants.
