desperately trying to sublease my apartment!! (taking a semester abroad) and either need to find a sublease or break a lease! (how hard would be getting out of a lease be?)
There are exchange students who sometimes come for a semester. Also, there are other students coming back from a semester abroad. I would also list your offer on some UVa student facebook pages.
If you don’t find someone to take over the lease, the landlord will probably keep charging you and send the bill for collection.
