Is it possible at most colleges to submit only the ACT? Because most applications I have looked at say "Have you taken the SAT?" and I don't want to lie and say no, but I got a 32 on the ACT and only a 2000 on the SAT, so I don't really want to. Do I just say that I didn't take it? Or submit both?

I would submit the ACT score. Most colleges take both, nowadays.

Do yourself a huge favor and only submit the ACT.

I have the same question!!

ACT or SAT. One or the other.

Thanks. Would they look at the SAT if I did and think a bit lower of my testing? Or would they only consider the ACT? (Not that I’m going to submit the SAT now.)

I have the same exact question. I got a 2130 on my SAT, but a 34 on my ACT. Oddly my math was higher on my SAT (780) than my ACT (32) and my English/ Reading Comp was higher on my ACT (36/32) than CR on the SAT (650). Because of this it might be better to send both, but I’m not sure. The question really is if they take the higher score if you do send both? I know some schools (like Stanford) don’t want you to hide scores at all and say they will look at the best. I have a feeling I’m just going to put everything out there for them to see. Your scores are both very good and I don’t think it would kill you to send both. I feel like more information is better than less with these applications. If anyone has a better answer, please I’d like to know too lol.

Most coleges will use the higher score and disregard the lower. I can’t find any hard evidence of this but I suspect that when reporting thier comon data sets colleges only report the score that THEY used to admit students.
