Submit ACT or SAT scores?

Several of the colleges my S is considering will accept either ACT or SAT scores. Fortunately, he tested well in both. Which would you recommend submitting? Is sending both advisable?

ACT - 34 (Eng 34, Math 33, Rdng 34, Sci 36; W 31)
Sat - 2290 (CR 720, M 790, W 780; Sat IIs UShist 760, MathII 800)

Applying to LACs in WA and OR.

bothhhhhhhhh

Both are great...
I have similar scores (34 act, 2270 sat) and am only submitting the SAT, though, because colleges don't need to see both and it costs extra...

well ur going to want to send your SAT IIs, so your SAT I will automatically be sent. Might as well send both since they're both 99 percentile.

Turns out SAT IIs are not required, so he has the option to send either SATs or ACTs. Nice to save a few bucks if possible...

I tested similarly (34 and 2230), and am sending both. It can't hurt, but the extra $ might... I had a discussion with my dad, and he thought it would be a good idea to send both, and he'd fork over the cash.

If you only want to send one, I'd go with the SAT.

I'd go with the SAT as well since it's more popular.

S has sent both

there's no way you shouldn't send SAT IIs...they may say they don't need it but it can lead to scholarships, making those few bux of sending fee negligible.

While SAT is more popular, the ACT score might help to distinguish you (a great thing) and most ACT/SAT conversion charts have 34 beating out a 2290, but both are great so its your call, good luck
