My D does not make the final decision to UMDCP yet, she still wait from couple RD schools. Can she complete and submit the housing form now without the final decision?

Yes, they are encouraged to submit the housing form early.

In the letter, they said " It is advantageous to request housing as soon as you know you will enroll at the University of Maryland".
Do we must accept the admission and enroll first and after that we can request housing? We are still confused.

I agree … its very confusing and unlike other colleges! I asked the same question here on CC and was told to sign up for housing. You have until July 1 to withdraw your housing request. I was still concerned, so I called and was told the same thing by UMD :)

Submit it now or as soon as possible. It is not binding in anyway. If you choose not to enroll later, you just contact them and withdraw your request.

But you do lose your $400 application fee if you don’t attend UMD correct?

I believe that is only if you commit and pay the enrollment fee. The housing form has no fee. You simply fill out the couple questions and submit it. Should only take a few minutes. No worries at all.

We submitted the housing form and there was no fee. We have not yet decided if son will enroll at UMD.

Here is the thread where this was previously discussed in detail
