hi, i got accepted into sdsu and i plan on going there unless i get into ucd.

sdsu bases housing on the time you submit the intent to enroll. would it be possible to submit it and then decline it if i get into ucd? (because most likely i dont think i will get into ucd)

Well I had a similar question concerning UVa and another college, and with UVa and most others, you CAN withdraw your tuition deposit up until the time you, like, start college, usually in August ... but I don't know what the UC system entails...

Well, you should check to see if the deposit that you may have to send with your intent to enroll is refundable, b/c if it is, you should go for it and secure a spot.

My concern is that the college will see that you enrolled at another school and rescind the admission, My understanding is that you have till May 1st but I'm not positive. They're both State schools.

As the UCs give their decisions end of March-why not wait a couple of weeks-see if you get accepted at UCD-and then notify sdsu. This way you are not locking up your money unnecessarily. Good Luck!

well at sdsu, im qualified as low income so i do not have to send in my deposit. im just worried about housing situation because if i wait to long i might not get housing that i want.

No no no no no. I would NOT recommend submitting an intent to enroll if there is a possibility that you won't! If you try to go to UCD that could get your admission from both colleges rescinded. You can switch housing next year; it's not worth it.
I guess if they don't have guaranteed housing and that is a big issue for you then you can talk with an admissions rep about your situation.
