Submit Mediocre AMC Scores to MIT?

Hi everyone! I'm applying to MIT this winter. The application asks for AMC scores. However, I've only ever scored around the 50th percentile:

AMC 10
70.5 Freshman
76.5 Sophomore

AMC 12
61.5

Should I even submit these scores to MIT? I have 36 ACT, 800 Math SAT, 800 SAT II Math, and completed Calc BC with a 5 as a junior if that affects anything. Additionally, if I do perform well on this year's AMC, will that be able to be sent to MIT? Thanks very much everyone! Good luck to all during the final stretch of the application process! :)

Is this a joke? No you shouldn’t submit them. They simply don’t give a crap. Don’t send any AMC scores unless you score well on the AIME. Most should only submit AMC scores iff USAMO qualified.

Oh ok thanks pure physics! I wasn’t sure. I appreciate your input.

Thanks Achilles! That was a very useful link.

Sure, no problem.

If I did score higher (100+) this year, would there be any way to notify MIT in time? I will be taking the AMC 12 again this year, and, for the first time, circumstances will enable me to study for it and obtain adequate sleep.
