Our school didnt ever stress on the importance of SAT thus most of us didnt do it yet (grade 11 students) I'm doing my final retake for SAT I (where i hope to get more than 2200) in October, which puts me in quite a predicament because i wanted to do early action ... Any help in my situation? (Previos SAT score: Math 720, Writing 640, Reading:600) and thats why i still want to do October SAT I... my whole problem is with that i'll have to do Novermber SAT II

Yes, it’s fine to submit November SAT scores (or SAT II scores) for early action.

THank youu!!! And also do you happen to know if they get to see how many SAT attempts i do if i decide to use score choice?

yes but we only care about your top scores, we assign no weight to lower scores on the same test

Thanks for the reply, and does the amount of attempts count? Because these are my scores June 2010 (grade 10): 1760, January 2011 (Grade 12): 1960 and i just did June but i didnt do really good (external circumstances and not enough studying because of a revolution in my country) So i know that it probably wont be 2200+ and i already plan to study like hell in summer and do the october SAT and hopefully get 2200+ so i dont know if i should cancel my June score (because it would look bad on the rising trend) and that it makes October my fourth attempt which is a big amount (although school told us that grade 10 is never looked at) … and can i have your email or phone if i had any other questions? Thanks :)

you can just check mitadmissions.org for more info. we have a lot of it on there.

but do you reccomend i cancel my june score? (gonna be probably around 1700-1900) and do my best on October? because thats my predicament since i dont want the admissions to see that i took the SAT 4 times… and im sure that i can do better in October with enough practice. I was told to use Score-choice, but i dont know if its good and if it states the amount of times i took SAT? So would you reccomend canceling?

@sleepisover

I don’t think MITChris would make a recommendation. He has pointed you to the right materials on the issue and its up to you to decide. He should be somewhat neutral :)

Also when you use ScoreChoice, they only get the scores of the selected tests. AFAIK there is no such count as “Took SAT this times” or something like that on report.

If you are really that worried, be quick then! They need to receive your mail by tomorrow night or you won’t be able to cancel.
