Submit only 1 subject test score?

Would it look strange if an applicant only submitted one subject test? Most schools DS is applying to do not require them and some recommend them. He has taken one test where he has scored 750+ and is scheduled to take the English Lit one tomorrow. He has barely studied claiming “it’s a test you can’t study for.” Plus, he really had no time to study. Assuming he gets a subpar score, would it look strange to just submit the one score he has now? He scored a 5 on the AP English Language exam so I’m not surely submitting a subject test In English would add anything. He is not a math or science guy so has no interest in taking the other exams.

No, it won’t effect him. I do have to ask WHY he signed up for English if he felt he couldn’t study.

That kind of thing happens. I bet his score on the English Lit test will be good. My son did not plan to take the Englis Lit test and had never seen the test before he actually took it. Why did he take it, then? It was December and he was planning to take his Math 2 test plus one other test that day. But when he sat down in the test room he discovered that the second test wasn’t being offered that day. So he quickly saw that there was an English Lit test and he took that. It was his lowest advanced SAT but still in the mid-700’s.

He took English, because it’s the one subject that he is very comfortable with.
