Submit SAT or ACT score?

If you'll bear with me...I've got a question. My SAT and ACT match up pretty well, and I'm not sure which one I should submit. Originally I was going to submit the better score, but they ended up tying each other.

SAT: 800 math, 800 writing, 790 CR
ACT: 36 english, 34 reading, 35 math, 36 science

Submit both…

The SAT score is a little better, but you should send both nonetheless.

1600 and 2390 is a slight bit better than a 35, I’d submit SAT if I had to chose, but you should probably submit both of them if you don’t mind paying the extra ($9 x Schools)

How much weight does a 36 actually have?

arguably just as much as a 2400 does

Submit them both. Both are excellent scores, and the colleges that you are applying to will surely be impressed.

You should submit both, since they’re, as you said, pretty much tying. Both are fairly impressive and should be looked at!

But, if you REALLLY had to choose one, submit the SAT.

Not exactly: the OP’s ACT score concords to 2330.

I would say almost as much. Even ACT admits that 36 does not quite concord to 2400. Plus, a 36 composite is an average of the sections, whereas the SAT composite is additively obtained.

So the SAT might have a little bit more weight to it…thanks for all the input guys!
