Can someone explain? Can I just play various similar songs for each one of these recordings? Also, the site says the recordings must be unedited, does that mean I have to play these songs one after another?
“Contrasting styles” typically means, in classical music, say, a piece that demonstrates your technical mastery (Paganini Caprice 24) and something virtuosic or lyrical (Saint Saens Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso); while “contrasting periods” refers to a piece out of the Romantic era and a piece out of the Modern era, etc.
“Unedited” means do not alter the video or audio file in any way shape or form, i.e., no reverb, no manipulation of notes, etc. It does not mean placing two or more pieces in ONE file.
