Submitted 11:50 PST, but common app recorded it as Jan. 2???

Hey everyone.
I assumed from the statement on Stanford's website
("All deadlines are midnight Pacific Time of the electronic submission or postmark dates listed above.")
That I could safely submit at 1:50 AM my time, or 11:50 PST.
However, the common app has recorded me as submitted on Jan. 2, or one day past the marked deadline.

Is Stanford not going to consider my app, or is this just a common app quirk having to do with time zone differences?
Thanks.

I’d say play extra safe, and contact Stanford and ask them, A.S.A.P.
You never know,…

OH, nevermind.
All time stamps are in Eastern Time. Deadlines are also listed in Eastern Time. Schools located in other time zones may accept your documents up until the posted deadline in their local time zone, even though your submission time stamp will be recorded in Eastern Time.

it did that to me too

sameee
i was freaking out herrre ahhh i almost had a heart attack!

Wait, can colleges see what time you submitted your application, or just the date?

The same happened to me–but I think we’re in the clear. I originally applied ED to a different school, and didn’t submit till half an hour before the deadline, and it also showed up as submitted the day after. It was all processed and accepted though.

The deadline for Stanford has been extended to Jan 3.
