Submitted Application Day Before They Were Due

I finished my application weeks ago but I just learned that I never put my signature on them so they didn't go through. I stopped after the payment part and I just realized my mistake.

Do colleges pay attention to when you submitted your application? I feel like if you submitted your application the day before the deadline then they would think that you just put it off until the final day and gave it no effort.

Should I call them and tell them my mistake or does it not matter?

Schools do not discriminate against procrastinators. So long as you aren’t applying to a program with rolling admissions and so long as you meet the deadline, it doesn’t matter when you submit. Even if it’s submitted right at the deadline that timing won’t be taken into account in the admissions decision. Don’t worry at all about this.

You’re seriously over thinking this. Your file will get evaluated when it’s complete – meaning the other docs trickle in. This might be the end of March. Or it might be Jan 3rd.

Thanks, I feel a lot better now.
