<p>I keep seeing these threads on the commonapp being submitted and the same being downloaded. </p>

<p>How does one understand which one of the two has happened?</p>
<p>What do these two terms mean, in the first place?</p>
<p>On the my college page, below the quickadd college button, next to where it says Application, Supplement, and Payment (with the triangles/squares) it says either not submitted, submitted, or downloaded.</p>
<p>ouch the payment can be downloaded too?? what does it mean if this one hasn´t been downloaded yet (i paid dec 30th)???</p>
<p>I just checked: The payment stays submitted, it doesn’t change to downloaded.</p>
<p>Not Submitted - You haven’t sent it in yet.
Submitted - Self explanatory, you’ve sent it in but the college hasn’t officially taken a look at it/acknowledged it.
Downloaded - The college has downloaded your application from CA and is processing it.</p>
<p>From what I remember, colleges can only download your application once both your supplement and application are in. </p>
<p>Additionally, it appears as if your payments can be downloaded. (It just takes some time, apparently. I have… two that have been downloaded.)</p>

<p>After you have submitted it, the green triangles really mean nothing. It’s all about the description! :)</p>

<p>After I’ve submitted my applications, it showed my submit date as the same day as the due date. But that status has switched to downloaded status, which is a day later. Will this affect my application?</p>
<p>The download date does not matter to you. It just tells you when the college has downloaded your application for review/processing. :)</p>
