Call me a procrastinator, but I felt like waiting until 11:30pm Pacific Time to submit my Stanford applications today. I was done with my applications… Unfortunately, the internet at my house crashed. In a panic, I did everything possible to fix it but it just didn’t work.
I’m afraid that,they won’t even consider my application, and my admissions chances will not exist as a result of submitting it a day late. Will they still consider my application? If not, given that I really want to get into Stanford, what should I do?
You are not the first or the last to whom this has happened. I doubt Stanford will throw away your otherwise complete application. If you need reassurance, you can email admissions and tell them about your problem - they have heard it all before and probably have a standard email that goes out in response to emails like yours. I’d be surprised if it said anything other than ‘you’re fine.’
You can certainly contact them and inform them of your extenuating circumstances.
I would have gone to my neighbor’s house and begged them to let me use their computer. But yeah, as others said, chill, they have like 40k+ apps to process.
