Submitted supplements super late?!!?!?

I applied ED to Columbia College and submitted my Common App on time. However, I stupidly wasn’t aware that I had to submit the Writing Supplements separately, and literally let my essays (that I had finished in like September) sit there for 2 weeks before Columbia sent me an application incomplete email on the 13th, and I submitted it then. At first, I freaked out but later assured myself everything would work out, but now that the decision date is close I just want to be prepared for what the letter will say… :frowning: Will this greatly impact my results? Automatic rejection? Automatic deferral? Does the fact that I still got an interview say anything about their continued overview of my application?

Before I get attacked for being dumb… I just wanted to say that YES, I already know I messed up big time. I am so so so nervous about the decision in 5 days, so please do not be mean about my mistake.

no one can really know. It’s done so let it pass.

I’m sure it can’t help you, but if you sent in the email right after Columbia notified you that your application is incomplete, I would say you are okay. If you had access to your Columbia University portal, did you check to see if there were green check marks next to every piece of the application? (this portion of the portal is now closed) Also, FWIW I already got my Georgetown interview, but I have only paid the application fee and filled in the biographical info section of my application; none of my essays are done, so i don’t know if getting an interview will be an indicator about this.

I think you will be considered for the early pool personally, but obviously make sure to not have this happen again

There were green check marks next to every piece a day or two after I submitted the writing supplements. Thanks for your response!
