Submitted the application after deadline? Then get inside..

So.. To all of you out there that decided to procrastinate, like me.. :)

Here's a response I got from the official CommonApp - Applicant support center:

Thank you for contacting the Common App Support Team.

If you were able to submit your application then it is available for college to review.

If the deadline has passed for the school to which you are applying, you will not be able to submit your application to that school. You will receive the following message upon clicking on the "Signature" section of the application.

"The deadline for one (or more) of your selected institution(s) and its related decision plan has passed. As a result, you are no longer able to submit an application for the selected decision plan to this college."

Good luck to all of you, and good night.

Does this also include supplements? My application was previously sent out, but I finished the supplement like an hour after the deadline–it still went through. Fingers are crossed!

Good luck :)

I think if it didn’t give you that message, you’ll be fine.
I heard that colleges have unpublished “grace periods” that allow you to submit the application even after the official deadline.

Thanks so much for posting this, its pretty comforting  I submitted my supplement on time but totally forgot to go to the signature page to submit my actual app and so I turned it in about an hour an a half after the deadline and started freaking out.
