I'm in the same situation as many of the other people here - that is, a few of my applications did get in until the hour following the deadline. My question is: on the commonapp, when the status changes from "submitted" to "downloaded," is that a definite confirmation that they are accepting your app? If so, I'm not sure I'd want to contact the school to give a whole song and dance about the app being slightly late. I have some that I submitted as early as a week ago that still have not been downloaded and some I submitted as late as last night that have already been downloaded. Just for reference: Vanderbilt and Pomona still have not downloaded after 5 days, UPenn has downloaded my payment status -_- and commonapp but not the supplement, which was slightly late, Yale has downloaded everything even though the supplement was late, and Johns Hopkins and Stanford haven't downloaded anything, even though the commonapp was early and the supplements were less than 1 hour late.

Dude, the admissions people are on break. xD Submitted is when you sent in the stuff. Downloaded is when they decided to download your application. With the thousands of people applying, I'm sure it'll be a while before they get to you. Maybe a day or two if they're fast. It could be longer. Don't freak out.

If any part has been downloaded, you are safe, do not call.

Why do I say this? Well, they won't bother downloading unless they see that your application is complete, and once they begin downloading you are in the pile with every student whose application will eventually be fully downloaded and read by adcoms.

As for Vandy and Pom, most schools won't even bother downloading until Jan 2-3...so wait until the end of the business day tomorrow before getting concerned, and if they still haven't been downloading, call on the 4th.

what about "school forms" offline?

It just means that guidance/reccomendation stuff is done offline, I believe. Anyone else have an idea?

Yeah, it always says offline. Even when they receive your papers and start considering your app, that status on the common app never changes. So Big is right.

Hey guys, Caltech downloaded my Application, but still hasn't downloaded my supplement even though i submitted them in one day. But they sent me a confirmation email. Should i let them know or not?

CradleofFilth- I think they probably realize it. They probably just download the supplements second or something. Wait another couple of weeks- it takes them a long time to sort through all that stuff, especially with winter break.

Even if they didn't download it and they really didn't, they can just download it again because it's online.

OK, Thank you, Now i can sleep well :)
