I mistakenly entered wrong class ranking in my Common Application Education Section and submitted to almost 11 colleges. What to do now? How should I contact the admission office?
I think it depends on how far off you are – if you submitted 5th when you’re really 200th, that’s a problem. But if you submitted 5th when a recent adjustment made you 6th, they understand. Remember that they’ll check your official ranking against your transcript, so I would call to correct if it’s way off (they’ll see it, anyway, but it will help avoid the appearance of deliberately misrepresenting yourself), but let it go if you were close.
The rank on your transcript is what they care about.
