There’s an extra essay (250 words) that I wrote and really would like to submit to MIT. Is it too late to send over a fax of the essay so it could be added to my file? I feel it adds another dimension to who I am.

It wouldnt be a good idea no matter the time. It would look even worse that youd be faxing it this late. One thing I’ve always followed in my entire process of college/scholsrship applications is to never submit something that isnt asked for and/or doesnt give you an option to submit. I wont say that extra essays are bad for MIT (because I dont know what its like in the admissions room) but if there was ever a place it would have been in the additional info section
