Do your scores on the AP tests get sent to colleges even if you don't want them to? Say you get a 100 in the class but a 2 on the test, do you have to let the school see that score? Will it hurt your chances at a competative school if you do not send you AP scores?

Any opinions anyone?

your scores do not get sent to colleges if you dont want them to, unless if it’s your school’s policy to list AP scores on the transcript or something, in which case you’ll have to check and go through a little more trouble to have these removed.

the common application will ask you to self report your scores. not sure how knowingly withdrawing a low score will be viewed.

Thank you!

Does anyone else know though if at competative schools it will look bad if you scored low on your AP tests or if you don’t submit them?

Anone else have an opinion? I am so new to this whole college thing and I need as much advice as I can get.

AP tests are not that important to colleges during the application process, otherwise they would require an official copy (like with the SAT/ACT, SAT II and h.s. transcripts). But what you self-report seems to be enough for them – I also don’t think the forms REQUIRE you to post ALL your scores.
