Submitting Application

<p>When you submit the application does it need to only say submitted on the common app essay? Or dowloaded by college by 12 am on the 1st?</p>

<p>A direct quote from an email Stanford sent me earlier today:</p>

Dear Snipersas;</p>

<p>We see from the Common Application website that you have begun a freshman application to Stanford University, and one or more of the following three components may not have been submitted as of today:</p>

<p>1) First-Year Application
2) Stanford Supplement
3) Payment or fee waiver request</p>

<p>All three components must be submitted no later than 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time on January 1, 2012 (2:59 a.m. Eastern Time on January 2) in order for your application to be considered.</p>

<p>To check on the submission status of your application, log on to your Common Application and click on the “Stanford University” link in the “My Colleges” section. Once you have successfully submitted all required elements, a green triangle will display next to each section that is complete. We will continue to accept School Forms after the deadline, though late forms will delay our processing of your application.</p>

<p>Please be aware that our office will be closed from December 17 through January 2. We will continue to receive mail and process application materials received during this time, but we will not be available to answer phones or assist with other inquiries. We will not extend the deadline for students who experience technical difficulties with the Common Application website. For this reason, we strongly recommend that you submit your application well in advance of the application deadline. Difficulties should be reported to the technical support staff by clicking on the “Help” link located at the top of every page of the online application.</p>

<p>So I think it really does mean “submitted”; not “downloaded”.</p>
