I got a 5 on AP Bio, a 5 on AP Chem, a 4 on AP Calc BC and a 3 on AP English.

I got B's both semesters in my AP English course, but I was expecting to get a 5 because I had the hardest teacher in the whole district. In fact, my friends who were in the same class, they also got B's and some even C's, but they all got 5's on the test. I also got a 5 on a mock AP test. Sigh, I guess I screwed up badly on the real thing. Should I leave my AP English score off my college app, or will that make it seem like I actually got a 1 or 2?

Exactly how I feel about AP English Lang. I was the best in my class and got an A both semester, yet got a 3 on the test…idk how. I feel like **** because I am a great writer and the test doesn’t reflect that but it is what it is I guess…on top of that 3 on Lang is barely accepted anywhere so I feel like it was a waste >.<

I guess it’s okay if you don’t report the 3. I got a 3 on AP Eng Lang as well (sigh). I think the admissions people will see your grades at school on your transcript… I’ve heard of people who took AP courses and didn’t take the exam and vice versa. AP scores are reported for college credits, and AP courses indicate how hard your course load is.

AP Scores aren’t even really used for admission. It’s more for credits. Unless you’re thinking of majoring a specific subject, I wouldn’t worry.

Well, I wasn’t aware that 3 was a “bad score.” ;)

So, there is no reason for my D not to report the 3s along with the 4 and 5s?
