Does anybody know if the collegeboard will take late work? I know that it’s pathetic, but I ended up submitting my stuff around 8:58ish, and after I cleared all the check boxes and stuff it had already locked me out. I’m really worried because most of my stuff was submitted, but not final submitted, and I’m kind of panicking now.
I don’t know but this should not be happening. The latest date this could be submitted is the 30th of April and them cutting it off 3 hours before would be out right lying to their custumers who paid for the exam. I recorded proof that I had everything ready for this date and I will be making a phone call tommarow since their phones are off tonight
I got locked out and i i finished too
I truly hope that college board fixes this because this is not our fault. True we could have sent it earlier but the college board can’t know each students situation and should stay true to their word. If we have to follow their terms and conditions it is their responsibility that people can meet those conditions. Cutting people off live that with no warning is just unacceptable
It was meant to be submitted at 11:59 PM EST. Email the collegeboard though ASAP and call in the morning! Talk to your teacher too to see if anything can be done!
OP submitted before 12PM EST and it still did not work.
@Mauricio1237374 Agh I totally didn’t expect it to be EST since the website just says April 30th! They should really specify next year
@codergal Ahhh I sent them an email right after I got locked out because I was so panicked. I hope they will understand!
@innovativestdnt1 Really? That’s even more unfair to you then too if you were before the EST cutoff
Okay really though, this is probably just me being dramatic but I cried for like 20 minutes straight after they locked me out just because I’d been working on those projects for a long time and I thought it was a no hope situation
dont worry, they have to understand. several people in my class are in the same boat as we are. again, if it makes you feel better, i got cut off before the EST deadline. it must be something on their part.
@innovativestdnt1 Oooh I didn’t know that many more people had the same problem. Thank you for the comfort though ! Although, I really am sorry that they cut you off early, that’s so terrible
@Mauricio1237374 @silverarrow15 did contacting college board actually help anyone? I’m in the same boat.
I was also panicking when today I forgot to submit all my stuff as a final draft. Then I found out the University I’m going to doesn’t accept scores from CSP. While I guess that sucks, somehow I feel relieved.
@Txotru My teacher got an email saying that they’re going to reopen the final submit window tomorrow!
I contacted the college board in the morning and they were processing my request for an extension but later in the day I got a text from my teacher saying we got an extension for tommarow. If you haven’t received notice of this I recommend you tell your friends or even contact your AP director. In all honesty the college board was at fault for not specifying on the website about the time zone difference so don’t blame yourself. Instead take this second chance and hopefully learn something from it, I sure am XD
As of 8 am pst , the digital portfolio is still closed for me. So rip haha
Did anyone get any responses from Collegeboard? Are they actually extending the submission deadline beause as of now its still closed for me smh
Hmm my portal seems to be working right now. I think your teacher may have to email the college board too because she was the one who got a response ‘~’
not yet, they prob lied again
Still closed for me as well. If they do reopen it, do you think it’ll be for everyone or only for students that requested it through their teacher? There was another guy in my class that missed the deadline (could be more in other periods, it’s a big school) so we told our teacher about it, but he told us it was our fault and that there was nothing he or we could do.
This is from College Board’s APCSP FAQs…
Is there any possibility of an extension beyond April 30?
There is no guarantee of an extension beyond April 30. Teachers should plan their academic calendars, and set interim deadlines to review student performance tasks, allowing for unforeseen circumstances so that students have made final submissions of performance tasks by April 30.
For extreme circumstances teachers or coordinators can write to apcsp@collegeboard.org to explain their situation. Extensions are not guaranteed and will be reviewed on a case by case basis.
@Txotru @KIrving123 It seems like they’re doing it on a case-by-case basis now that I think about it. What I did was I sent an email (no reply), then I called them and they said that they would process my request for a deadline extension, and then my teacher emailed them and got a reply stating that the portal would reopen for May 2nd. Your teacher doesn’t sound nice, but I would really beg him to at least send an email to the collegeboard :(. When I called, I just explained to the guy that I thought it was west coast time since the website never specified it.
