Submitting more than one Harvard Supplement?

I know it's a risky move, but in your judgment, is it worth it?

I'm currently torn between submitting a funny, lighthearted, original essay that sheds light on my personal character and submitting a more serious essay dedicated to my academic pursuits that has much more intellectual substance but has probably been done to death by many other applicants.

Harvard comes across to me as a more academically centered institution, which is why I'm currently having qualms submitting the essay that better illustrates me as a person.

If I am unable to submit both, or if doing so is reckless and not recommended, which would you recommend submitting?

Thanks so much xD

Do you think the essay is funny enough to make an adcom smile? If so, unless the academic pursuits aren’t covered in your common app, essay, and don’t think your recs talk about it either, I’d go with the lighthearted one.

Is your lighthearted essay as witty as your “location”?

Haha, good one. I’m right now trying to imagine the expression an adcom would have while they read a “your mom” joke in your essay…but on the other hand it’d definitely be original, since I doubt anyone has tried that before.

Thanks for the input guys. I combined the two successfully into one powerful essay =D
