Submitting Multiple ACT Scores

My S will apply to University of Rochester for entry in 2015.

He has taken the ACT twice with results as follow:

Dec 2013
English: 34 , Math: 35, Reading: 34, Science: 35 Writing:10 Composite:35

April 2014
English: 35 , Math: 32, Reading: 33, Science: 36 Writing: 8 Composite:34

I understand that Rochester superscores the ACT. I would be interested to hear whether submitting both test dates would make sense. Submitting December only gives a composite of 34.5 which rounds to 35. But submitting both and superscoring gives a 35.25 which also rounds to a 35, but exposes a slight weaker writing score and more variability.

I suspect at that at the end of the day either approach is just fine. Surely an admission decision is unlikely to hinge on the difference between a 35 rounded from 34.5 or a superscored 35 rounded from 35.25. Would you agree?

Don’t worry about it. Submit both or not. They’re both good.

And UR hasn’t specifically required a particular test for a few years. I think this[/url”>http://blog.enrollment.rochester.edu/blog/blog-admin/university-of-rochester-adopts-test-flexible-policy]this is a good description, written by the Admissions Dean.
