i’m talking about my common app and its supplements, is it even going to matter? is there anyone even working that will process it any earlier?

Nope. Many admissions offices seem to have the whole week off, with receptionists there limited staff hours to answer general questions.

Unless you want to get it over with and relax before winter break is over, there is no point to submitting your apps a couple days early.

makes sense

From what I remember reading about the process last year on these boards, send it now. There will be thousands of students trying to access the common application site at the deadline, and many had difficulty getting access.

My suggestion is to wait and do another proofread in 2 days before sending it. The timing will not make any diff to adcoms.

I sent mine now because I didn't want to worry about it anymore and I didn't want to risk server problems closer to the deadline. Of course, I still have 4 non-Common Application applications to finish up (yay for procrastination!), so I wouldn't have time to proofread for the next couple of days even if I wanted to.
